Steps to take to maintain your tan

It's back to school, the end of the sunny days is approaching and you want to keep your tanned complexion, a sweet memory of vacation. To prolong and brighten your tan, you need to maintain it. How to do ? After being exposed to the sun, the skin needs to be hydrated and regenerated through appropriate care and a diet rich in carotenoids and antioxidants.

Foods rich in beta-carotene and vitamin E naturally give you a healthy glow and stimulate the production of melanin, responsible for tanning. Most of them are easily identifiable by their red and orange colors: carrot, tomato, mango, peach, melon, watermelon, apricot, pumpkin… But it is also found in spinach, parsley, or lettuce depending on the season.

It is also recommended to include foods rich in vitamin E to boost the effects of carotenoids. You will find it in particular in foods rich in lipids such as wheat germ oil, sunflower oil, hazelnuts, almonds, or even avocado.

In this article we will reveal to you the essential beauty procedures to maintain your golden tan after a vacation in the sun.

Our tips for maintaining your tan

1. Hydrate

The Care Mist: your best hydration ally! In summer, the skin becomes very dehydrated. It is important to drink water and rehydrate your skin at all times. Made up of 100% active ingredients and fragrance-free, it's THE portable treatment to have with you!

2. Enhance

Beauty Oil is our after-sun favorite! It nourishes while brightening the tan. The MUST before going to dinner. Take the opportunity to give yourself 5 minutes of self-massage with the Gua Sha or Mushrooms.

3. Exfoliate without drying

When you return, for a luminous tan, don't hesitate to exfoliate. The Perfecting Peel gently exfoliates, without stripping the skin. Use it twice a week by gently patting your face with a cotton pad.
